Meads Care was invited to deliver a presentation to The Rotary Club of Eastbourne’s Monday Lunch on July 2nd. Meads Care has been a corporate member of the Rotary Club since early 2018 and Meads Care Owner, Prital, Meads House Manager, Jackie, and our Sales and Marketing Consultant Anne-Marie Awcock were delighted to attend the lunch and deliver the presentation.
Here, Prital writes about her experience...
Following an introduction by Anne-Marie, I spoke about how, having listened to the needs of families, staff & professionals in the community, my idea for Meads Care delivering Home, Day, Respite and Residential Care began to evolve. I spoke about the long-standing team that we have at Meads Care and how having this team enables us to deliver continuity of care and a service that has a personal touch. I shared my desire that Meads Care will continue to become an important part of the community by supporting local charities and businesses with various events and through our involvement with the Rotary Club’s Youth Committee.
We were joined at the lunch by our guests, Teresa and John Thorne. Teresa’s mother had been a resident of Meads House and Teresa shared her experience with our fellow Rotarians. She spoke about knowing that her mother’s needs were important and were more than met and how our team delivered a continuity of care to her mother, something that was of great importance to her. Teresa also spoke about the warmth and friendliness she experienced whenever she visited Meads House. When we were caring for Teresa’s mother, we had not yet started our Home Care service, but it was lovely to hear that had it been available, Teresa would have used this service without question. Delivering this kind of care to all of our residents and home care clients is of utmost importance to Meads Care and we are so grateful to Teresa for sharing her experience so beautifully.
