Meads Care hosted an open garden event for local charity St Wilfred’s Hospice in the beautiful gardens of Meads House on the 19th May, sharing a date with the Royal Wedding. The event was booked before Harry and Meghan chose the date and, even with the wedding taking place, it was well attended by St Wilfred’s many supporters and was a great success.
In our peaceful garden, visitors were treated to light refreshments and had a chance to enter a raffle for a stunning quilt cover, handmade and donated by a St Wilfred’s supporter. The winner will be announced at the end of the season of open garden events. All of the funds raised including the voluntary entry fee have been donated to this very worthy local charity. It was a pleasure to host this event and we look forward to welcoming St Wilfred’s back again to Meads House Gardens next year.
Meads Care is continuing to support the local community by offering the stunning grounds of Meads House free of charge for open garden events to local charities and community organisations throughout the summer.
